2013 – Luke Faccini was selected to be an AKFF Ambassador and represent SA as an international Jury Member at the Giffoni Filma Festival

2014 – Our Ambassador Program saw four South Australians travel to Europe. Gere Fuss was invited to Plasencia Encorto – the Spanish Youth Film Festival in March with his film “Not a Sound’ which won the 2013 AKFF “Best Overall Film” award.

Sharnie Du Bois, Jeff Moriarty and Sam Dawson were selected to be part of the jury at the Giffoni Film Festival in Italy in July and represented Australia along with 3000 kids from all over the world.

2015 Olivia Hosking and Thomas Keiller were selected to attend the Plasencia Encorto Youth Film Festival in March with their Film “Jack and Jill” winning best screenplay.

Ingrid Coram, Charlie Ryan Kane and Eva Tudorovic were the ambassadors selected to represent Australia at the Giffoni Film Festival in July.

2016 Tara Amoroso-Phillips, Victoria Moularadellis & Ashleigh de Silva were the ambassadors selected to represent Australia at the Giffoni Film Festival in July. 

2017  Mieka Thompson-Mills, Jacinda Tsakalos, Kaiwern Woo and Maeve McNielage were the four lucky ambassadors selected to represent Australia at the Giffoni Film Festival in July.

2018 – Hannah Wilkinson, Abigail White and Jess Evans were the three lucky ambassadors selected to represent Australia at the Giffoni Film Festival in July.

Applications are open for Giffoni 2019.  Please submit by Feb 28th.

Giffoni

Jury Member

  • Individuals must be aged between 13 – 19 to be considered for the program.
  • Individuals must submit a 500 word essay to chloe@aiyff.com.au ATT: Giffoni Jury Application stating reasons why they should be selected as an AIYFF Youth Ambassador.
  • Individuals must submit at least one example of their work: Film, Music Video, Script, or Film Review via a link in the email.

Applicants will be notified by March 30th 2019 and only if they have been selected to go.

Accommodation, airport transfers, meals, insurance whilst in Giffoni and free entry into all films is paid for by Giffoni. Airfares are not but can be purchased at a reasonable rate through STA travel (this will be coordinated by AIYFF)

AIYFF will contribute $100 to the travel costs of each ambassador.

Other sources of funding can be discussed with you on application and includes, but is not limited to:
Carclew Youth Arts Project and Development Grant
Your local Rotary club.
Your local council

Chaperone

Individuals 21 and over can apply to be a Chaperone to accompany the three/four jury members.
Individuals must have offered their services as a volunteer with the AIYFF.
For those under 26 you can apply for:

Accommodation, airport transfers, meals and free entry into all films is paid for by Giffoni. Airfares are not but can be purchased at a discounted rate through STA Travel
